Didn't know if they made a transparent clown or a white pelt. The yellow one is a peewee.
Thanks

Those are all pelts. I've looked again and I'm not sure about your last pic. They look sort of cateyeish. The first pic are called sunsets. Don't know if the others have a name. Sissy |

So no. 1 is a sunset, no. 3 is an inverted sunset , and the white one......never seen one of those before either is it a rarer boring type pelt?
Thanks

i'd call em all "rainbos"
is the baseglass of the first one clean-clear? yours looks to be that dish-water gray color. i don't keep those with my sunsets. but if it does have the crystal-clear baseglass, then i suppose you could get away with calling it a hybrid sunset.
the yellow one isn't a sunset, it's just a yellow rainbo with a nice flash of red added.
the white one is super common around here - i'm surprised you haven't seen one. but if you're a new-ish collector, then there are tons yet to be discovered! |

The base is bubbly and very clear on the first one. I'm not a pelty person, I do Vitros so I guess you could say I'm a real newish pelty lol.
Thanks

Sunsets can be red, orange, or yellow. Some of mine have a bluish base. I think they are more rare. It is believed they were an attempt by Peltier to compete with the cateyes. A long time ago, a marble book grouped them with the cateye marbles. All of the color combos have air bubbles. Sissy |

I go along with sissy, I had heard that the Sunset Rainbos were originally made to be a cats eye too, but who knows? I do not think the yellow one would be one, I do not see any white in there, and is that yellow in the first one an anomoly to the picture and not really in the original in hand? Nice ones either way, I love the bubbles!! pax Jon _________________ Ni Carborundum Illigitmi |
