I never saw elvis in there until you guys pointed it out. Spooky! That's just the cutline of an otherwise boring Vaseline Slag. I doubt I could capture it again. I'll give a shot tomorrow. I put it in the pic because there is green debris in it. Little flecks like Aventurine but without the sparkle. So just green gunk. Geeze that is a bit creepy though. |

That Elvis thingy is trippin'!
WOW---Some nice specimens in there too. Is that unique looking one (blue/white & dark trim) in the far left corner, bottom row, a Master? _________________ Lizzy

Ok this slag is way creepy. If it were not for the green junk mucking up the pics you would be able to see what I see inhand way better. Looks like a 3D head bust only somewhat ghostly. It does look like Elvis quite a bit.
Here is the One you asked about Lizzy. Flip a coin on an Akro Hy-Grade or a Master Brushed Patch. Colour leans me to Master. If I were an Ebay scumbag I bet I could flog it off as an "Oxblood" Master. The colour is pretty much dead on for Ox. Alas it's just a rusty red/brown, and a good chance it's just tank gunk. Still it adds that extra appeal I look for in marbles.
Another one I liked was this cool two colour faced Helmet. I have another one that is blue and green. Only not even close to this one. As an added touch they put some strands of stuff across the face as well. Neat little marble.
