Attending a show in your area should yield good results (peltland!)....

It will take more than a post to find a good example GR in the price range you want. Some people look for years to find one with an empty hand.

I don't know what you mean by an empty hand, but I don't think I like it Mad ... I think something in the 3 to 5 hundred range is good... I've seen Allan B. sell several in the mint range and within that price range...

careful jumping to conclusions, gene. sami just means that many who have been looking for many years still come up empty handed.

i would like to see a mint GR that got away from alan for less than $7-800. i haven't been on ebay much at all lately, so maybe the economy is harder hit than i thought

Looking outside the box here, I don't see anything wrong with the post.
Duff, tank is trying to explain sami's post, I took it the same as she did.
I dont see her taking sides at all.
Kingfisher, if you have seen Alan sell them in the condition and price range that you want, you could email him and ask that you get an email when he list one on the bay, I am sure he would be glad to help you find one.
Now, as you were

Thanks for the backing Duffy... Yes, you were correct... I took it as (how do you expect to buy a GR if you can't afford to spend $3,800 on one)... If I am wrong, I apologize to Sami... But why didn't Sami speak up instead of letting others speculate what was meant??? In the words of John Denver "It's hard to be humble, and perfect in every way"... Embarassed

I didn't mean to offend anyone in any way. My point is if you are picky with what you want to add to your collection such as a very rare marble to begin with and have a limited budget, you may not find what you are looking for for a long time. I am kind of like that myself. Duffy, I do not appreciate you making conclusions who I should apologize or not. You may not like it if I tell you to do so. Tank & Monkey, thanks for trying o explain my point. I just got here since I posted and have a chance to respond.

Thats the problems with not being face to face. And why folks should try not to take most things personal on the boards. There is no way you can know a person or all their intentions by what they post. If you knew Sami you would know he would never try to insult anyone.

Since we are on the subject of GR's. I do not think that they are rare or hard to find. When I was on the net 24/7, I would see 1 or more listed on the bay every week for several months straight.
Now to just get the one you want, for the price you want could be a different story.
