Good show. Mike got burned 3 times (I think)! Too bad they couldn't have had some more shots of the various 'classic' marbles but definitely let people know how the marble making process works.

Here in Canada new shows come on on Mondays? The "new" one this week was a repete of Mike cleaning up dog crap in Alaska. Might be a few months until the show reaches here.

oh, about mike getting burned....i can't believe he was waving and flinging that melted glass around like that! and dave just sat there, *this* close to losing a freakin eye!!

I tensed up just a bit when Dave was calling the chunk of goldstone, Gold Lutz and told Mike it was mined in India. It was a fun show for sure.

yeah, i made a face during that part too, but not as much as during the part where dave dumped that giant cup full of layered frit and told mike it was going to make a bunch of multicolored marbles! Laughing

where'd all those lutz marbles end up? i don't remember hearing or seeing any like that from that run.

If Dave sold that one marble for $128.00. Why did he have it in his pocket ? What was up with throwing the Angel in the furnace ?

The marble he showed was a Madyia with lutz, I think he meant that a marble of the same type sold for $128. The angel was from Fenton, Jabo purchases cullet from Fenton which also includes damaged figurines, factory seconds, broken vases etc. It's not unusual to see a dump truck come in and dump a whole truckload of damaged figurines. I saw Mike Rowe picking through the pile and he probably thought that piece would be humorous to throw into the tank.
