You sound just like my dad.
But I do agree that many folks abuse "credit" and end up in a serious trick-bag that can be damn near impossible to get out of. _________________ Lizzy

what I have noticed on the bay is a twofold thing. there are many sellers out there that are selling anything they can make a buck on regardless if they have it identified correctly or not. I don't understand how someone can have a few thousand positive feedbacks and 100% positive rating and have 20 or 30 marble listing and none of them correctly ID'ed or just plain fakes and they all sell with no problems. I think many new collectors get sucked in by the ebay rating system and blissfully accept the sellers clams without ever knowing what they bought. So yes I guess it is a matter of lack of education or perhaps poorly place trust. |

I think that a lot of people are just trying to make a buck in a tough economy. If that means stretching the truth or deliberately misrepresenting, so be it.
Most experienced collectors can see through it, but new buyers get burned and often don't even know it. Art |
