Since I first became familiar with these types (commonly called "Imperial" for one of the companies that imports these to the U.S.)............I have been surprised by the many varieties. Some are very difficult to tell apart from a Master marble. I thought that it might be helpful to many of us to post some examples here.
Here are a few of mine.
Please post pictures of any that you have. _________________ Lizzy

I tend to throw all the Asian and Mexican mibs into the same box. I separated a few out and I actually got the large group of nice swirls(2nd pic) in with Asian cats over 10 years ago.

Wow, some of those red/white swirls look scarily vintage!
Galen, when you have them "in-hand", is it easier to tell? For example, does the glass look different? _________________ Lizzy

Oh yeah, I changed the title of this post to include all newer types, rather than just the Imperials.
I think that it will be a good thread to be able to reference again.

They are next to impossible to tell apart from WV Swirls. The glass is nice and smooth no cold rolls and nice color. There actually is a pattern to many of them but it would be too hard to describe. Sort of several swirly ribbons instead of a continuous swirling pattern _________________ Peace,Galen |

Here are some new marbles that I found here, some of them I like and I keep them apart.
Think most of them are Vacor and there are some Imperial (asian).
You can see a few red-white swirls the ones that Galen posted.

The brownish-white marbles look like German swirls.

ALLRIGHT! I was so hoping that you would post some of your examples, Winnie.
Since you have been on the forums and posting pics of your European "finds", I have realized how many machine-made marble types can not be ID'd yet.
During the first couple of years of my collecting, I thought that I was able to ID 99.9% of the machine-made swirl types as either W.V. swirl, newer Asian or Mexican. Well, now I realize that there are many more unidentified Euro swirls..........(along with patch types).
I do believe that the history of European machine-mades is in its infancy. We don't know whether many were imported or manufactured there even. I am hoping that more information will be uncovered as the years go by.
Thanks much for your contribution. _________________ Lizzy

I just realize how confusing this must be LOL
I'll try to clear things up.
The first picture are all newer marbles Mexican or Asian.
The second picture they look like old swirls but I think they're new,The green glass for example is much clearer than the glass of my old swirls and the swirls have more loops a somewhat other pattern.
To make it much more complicated LOL,some of the American transparante swirls look like German transp- swirls.
The brown-white swirl in the second picture look like a German swirl but has a more satin shine,is i think Vacor.
I don't believe Germany has ever made patches,i believe they are Asian.
