Hello all! I've been offered this marble here, said to be an older one. I'm not sure what to make of it. It's about one inch. Any ideas? (Before long I need to get my camera out and get some photos of some of the killer mibs I've got in the last so many months.) Any help is appreciated!
I'm not sure what to make of it. Looks interesting though. Any idea on maker and so on? Thanks! |

Need much clearer pics for an ID. Best I could do for now is a contemporary marble. _________________ Peace,Galen |

Could that be a Vacor Atmosphere? _________________ Post up some of your killer mibs! |

Finally made it back! Teaching can be quite time consuming, and when you're done being consumed, there's nothing left!
Newer one then? The person told me the glass is older, and that it was (wait for it) possibly a CAC. I said probably not,but that it wouldn't hurt to check. When I was given the price for it--$300--I thought it might not be a CAC . . . or if it was, I was getting one helluva deal, especially with a one inch marble.
On the plus side, the person offered to send it to me for inspection, then if I wanted it to send the money, if not, send the marble back. Now I'm leaning to just keep it where it is . . . not in my possession.
As a quick question, though the photos do seem a little blurry, is the glass not shiny (for lack of a better word) enough to be Vacor?
Sooner or later I will post some of my new killer mibs up . . . when I find more time. I got a few wonderful mibs off of Alan! (So I'd assume you've already seen those if you follow his listings). Wish I could afford one of those premium CACS he's had up. But my grandmother always told me wish in one hand and sh*t in the other and wait to see what gets filled first!
Thanks for the input! |

I also think newer. Not sure if I'm seeing it correctly..........but in one pic, it looks like it might have the large, spidery looking seam that some new foreign marbles have.
What does the cut/off or pontil look like on an Atmosphere? (Too lazy right now to look at old pics of them. hehe) _________________ Lizzy
