I have got this a while ago from a Dutch collector.
It has the game rules in the Dutch language.

That was a blurry pic- of the marbles,it looks as a board with cat's LOL,nothing wrong with cat's.
Here's another hopefully better pic-.
The marbles are all about 1/2 inch and sort of common swirl type.
The trade-mark is:J.W.S.&S. Bavaria.

Cool board! some of the "common swirl types" can have symmetrical patterns that really stand out on the clear base glass. Is that handwriting above the rules? Can you see what it says? |

A child has written:Willy can play this game the best.
It has been written with crayon,so i can clean it.
I will not do that, find it kind of cute.
The children obvious like to play this game.

It is believed that this game with Sigmund Freud on the front LOL is dated 1900 (+/-),I don't know how many years it's been made.
The only mark is the trade mark it says not where it's made.
The company J.W.S.&sons was registered in 1879 in Fuerth near Nuremberg-Germany.
Here is some more info.

I've had this illustrated boxed set twice, once with German Swirls and my current one with common Chinas. Love the cover! I'm suspecting that it really messed up Freud's mind attempting to solve the game and then he passed it on down to us.....the messed up mind, that is. David |
