Here are 2 packs of marbles from the late 1990's. The left is marked as being "Imperial". The right is marked as being "Mega". These marbles were also packaged by Mega named "turtles", with a statement that they were made in Mexico. ... Roger

They probably are the same marbles. Imperial is a toy packager based out of Los Angeles. They used to buy marbles from Vacor in Mexico until they started buying them in the Far East. So, those were probably from the time they were buying them from Vacor. Roger, does it say where they were made on the back of the Imperial package. It usually has marbles made somewhere, packaged somewhere... On the back of the Mega label (which is Vacor's's distributors name in the U.S.), the name of the marble is usually printed in the lower right.

The packs are not mine. The Vacor one is on eBay now, and the Imperial one was on GB eBay, but would only ship to GB. The listing stated that it said "imperial" on the back. I'm sure they are the same marbles, as I picked up a couple of bags (Vacor) back in the late 1990's and the "Imperial" pack seems to have the same range of shades, etc. ... Roger

I think it's funny how most of us call a specific type marble an "Imperial", when there was such a variety distributed by them.

Here's the type I'm thinking of.
