They took that (buyers activity search) away at the same time they hid the bidders on auctions over $200.
They have only shown 3 weeks on completed auction searches by items/words for over a year now (searching by seller or with an item number you can see farther back still).

On the flip side of the coin, with the thousands of daily transactions on greed-bay, it would be somewhat unfair to expect them to store all that old info for us marblers to geek back through. Surely its quite a bit of storage space. Not that I am an E-bay lover, but I can see their side. Unfortuneatly, thats where I have to get most of my mibs!

i appreciate that you're trying to see both sides, catfish, but isn't that what all those ebay fees are for?

It's a good marketing dept - What can we charge more for not making available to the general public? Buy your "premium" memberships here!

You could expect eBay is a huge business at this point, and it's only going to get better.

Can you imagine what would happen if the real estate industry tried this? Just because eBay has a monopoly doesn't mean that whatever form of greed they resort to is going to be lucrative. It just may backfire on them.
It would be nice if we all did something in usisen to fight back, but we've all become sheep so forget it. Pehaps people will just not bid as much and/or as high because they have no guidelines. Or people may not know what their item is worth and sell it elsewhere. (Whatever I'm drinking, I better not run out.)

I had a big one of those. I found a Beswick bird figure at a flea market for $24 and bought it thinking it would be worth $100ish. If I hadn't seen it sell for $1300-1400 in two 5 week old eBay completed auctions, I might have sold it for $100 ish off eBay. Instead, it sold for a $1250 BIN within an hour of listing it. My best treasure hunting find so far. I'm due for another - I better go flea market hunting this weekend. Smile
