|
|
Announcing the launch of a brand new auction website exclusively for buying and selling marbles.
http://www.mibauctions.com
(EDIT: Updated fees information)
This is a full auction site with features similar to eBay including:
Auctions w/ reserves, Buy it Now, Make Offers and more.
Online Stores
Wanted Ads - looking for something in particular? Post a wanted ad for free.
Lot's more cool stuff. Registration is free.
NO LISTING FEES ON AUCTIONS.
There will never be fees for Reserves & Buy it Nows. Start the auction listing at ANY dollar amount. No final value fees!
You can upload up to 4 images per item, hosted on our website, no fees. Re-list the item up to 15 times automatically. No additional fees.
Lot's more to see, come and take a look.
This site was made for the marble collecting community. This is a cheap alternative to eBay for sellers and I hope you all can use it to buy and sell marbles more economically. This is not a get rich quick scheme, I am just hoping to break even with operating costs.
Please come on over and register. I already have some live auctions up and running. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
Craig

very, very cool - i'll put a few things up and see how it goes! spread the word!!
2 questions...
disregarding any reserves....if there's a BUY OUT option, does it disappear once bids are place like ebay or can someone come in at any point and snatch it up even if there's already a bid?
"free for first 30 days" - does that refer to the first 30 days of the site? or first 30 days of the sellers' auctions? or first 30 days from registration? or?? _________________ Chris

I think the 'buy out' option stays up no matter what. This may be an option you can turn off or on when you list an item. So it will be up to each seller how to handle it.
The 30 days of no fees will run until right after Christmas. Probably turn them on the 28th or so of December.
Thanks to everyone for signing up, hopefully it will be a new favorite place to visit.

I registered. This is a great idea. I need to do some reading. I don't understand the bidding yet. It shows other folks max bid? weird.

I'm pretty sure it only shows the max bid when it's a reserve and the reserve has not been met. Thanks for registering.
It will take a few days to learn your way around the new commands and where everything is.
