Just got this interesting bag. Has what looks to be a Gropper / Peltier or CA box of slags on it. It is small at around 3" x 2". The material is similar to silk. It is imprinted on the back of the bag with Chinese characters that read "Made in USA". (Thanks Hansel).
It came with Peliter rainbos and one 7/8" blue slag. Also interesting is it says that the onyx marbles come in 12 color variations. That's alot of colors for slags?
Anyway, just thought you would enjoy seeing it.

I had heard that marbles made here in the U.S. before WWII were made for export (including China).............I wonder if that's the case here.........or perhaps they were marketed specifically for sale in Chinatown (S.F. or New York)?
Wouldn't it be cool to find some documentation about these (and many other marble mysteries. hehe)?

Trying to find out more info...I will post more as soon as I hear back.
12 colors of onyx marbles? Don't know if I can come up with 12 slag colors off the top of my head. This may have included the 'electric' colors from CA.

So those are the marbles that came with the bag? Or was the bag supposed to contain a sample of each color onyx advertised on the outside?
What does the big one look like? (ie: is it a Pelt, or more of a slag, or a pelt slag, or "could be" a pelt slag, or something else all together?)
12 colors total, as advertised on the bag, could mean 8 regular with 4 electric (5 of each maybe), too bad it's black & white  |

| Maybe the stitching might tell you if it's older or newer. The screened graphics are pretty fine detail for a small size. |
