LOL! Funny RD!
I quit smokin, but ended up chewin' tabacco instead. I've tried quitting, but quittin' chew is harder than it was for me to quit smokes. Neither are easy. Good job Duffy! I hear you on the crabby part.
I plan on quitting tabacco, but have to wait until after my wedding. Afraid I may gain a buttload of weight and won't get into my tux! LOL

Way to go, Steve. Its a healthy decision.
Mmmm....snuff.....
I don't miss cigarettes, but I took up the pipe to get off the snuff. I think about it often. LOL.

| I quit for 7 years, and then figured I was safe to have one at a party, and I went right back smoking for about a year. Now its been 20 years without even one. All the best to all who decide to kick it. ... Roger |

Well, since we're all sharing,
I quit drinking 24 years ago on Jan. 13, 1984.
Smoking on Mar. 17, 1985.
Skoal Mar. 16, 1992.
Thing is I'm still addicted to MARBLES!!!!!!!
I'll kick that habit when I can't kick anymore.
BTW way to go Duffy. It ain't easy. fer sure

I was addicted for 36 years and my health suffered from it. I found a myriad of "reasons" why I wanted to smoke and for why I didn't want to quit. I got stubborn in 1995 and stopped. This is a common story except for the fact that I'm a police surgeon, but just human as everyone else. Keep on keepin' on Duffy. We're all proud of you.

When I quit several years ago, I didn't loose the desire until after lliving in Hawaii for two years and breathing clean air, only to return to Toledo, Ohio and start again because I hadn't lost the desire. This time it *hurt* to smoke. It just wasn't *fun* anymore and that made it really easy to quit for good. That was thirty years ago. Congrats Duffy and good luck staying smoke free!
