Here’s sweet little hand gathered egg yolk with oxblood.

It’s 9/16” of an inch. Is this a fairly uncommon size for tis type of marble...yes/no?????

It sure has a lot of action going in both the surface and matrix for such a small sphere:-)

I don't think this was rounded out on a machine.. one of the images shows what appears to be a pontil...... You are brave out there on those limbs, braver than eYe .....Smile

Although, it could still be from Ohio.

Thanks,

BT

Seet rare sized German marble IMHO. I believe the ones from the sunken ship pretty much proved the yellow and Ox were from Germany. Peace,Galen

Yeeeeeeoow! Just from looking at the pics, I would never suspect it was so small. Proof of how skillful those early glassmakers were. ... Roger

You are right on two counts Roger... From the pics it's not easy to tell how small it actually is ...... and they were very skilled indeed!!! I have a hard time making marbles smaller than about 3/4"....

Here it is again in a group to give it perspective...

Thanks for pointing this out...

BT
