Here’s sweet little hand gathered egg yolk with oxblood.
It’s 9/16” of an inch. Is this a fairly uncommon size for tis type of marble...yes/no?????
It sure has a lot of action going in both the surface and matrix for such a small sphere:-)

I don't think this was rounded out on a machine.. one of the images shows what appears to be a pontil...... You are brave out there on those limbs, braver than eYe .....
Although, it could still be from Ohio.
Thanks,

Seet rare sized German marble IMHO. I believe the ones from the sunken ship pretty much proved the yellow and Ox were from Germany. Peace,Galen _________________ Peace,Galen |

Yeeeeeeoow! Just from looking at the pics, I would never suspect it was so small. Proof of how skillful those early glassmakers were. ... Roger |

You are right on two counts Roger... From the pics it's not easy to tell how small it actually is ...... and they were very skilled indeed!!! I have a hard time making marbles smaller than about 3/4"....
Here it is again in a group to give it perspective...
Thanks for pointing this out...
