I'm sure most of you have a gigantic box of cat's eyes. I decided to go through mine and see if there were any hidden treasures. I found these that I think are Bogard. Any thoughts?????

i'm fairly sure those are master glass cat's eyes.
bogards are closer to MK cats with some variations in color. they also have a tiger-eye lookalike. lemme dig up my pictures..........

cool, steve! i saw your name up there and hoped you'd jump in
great picture!!
edit: btw, jim, (your name's jim, right? ) those master glass cats can be kinda hard to come by. i like the red ones! i remember the purple ones getting mis-ID'd as purple peltier bananas a lot. |

Chris ~~ I have a good collection of MM/MG mibs but have never paid any attention to cats-eyes so I have no clue what MM and MG cats look like. You're IDing Jim's as Master Glass specifically, as opposed to Master Made. How are they different?
Also your pic shows some that I would call Tiger Eyes, MM. Are they also cats? If so are they Cat Tigers? If not cats, then they don't look quite like any of my MM Tiger eyes.
Could you elucidate ID characteristics for the weak-minded?
Inquiring minds want to know

Those "seedy" Masters can be fun to look for. Personally, I've always thought of the Bogards as "similar" to a catseye....they sure have a unique look. Great pics and info everyone! Good to see the board is thriving! |
