The posts by TX got me looking. here are the only 2 out of hundreds that were on a transparent base and shouldn't be. The transparent base is very hard to capture as was posted earlier. Peace,Galen

Dang! That's alot of Vitros you got there, Galen. How many PMs have you gotten from the Vitro junkies since you posted this pic? hehe
Now I wish that I'd looked through my "Blackies" before I gave them away! Isn't the one on the right an "All-Red"? _________________ Lizzy

They are not supposed to be on a transparent base. They are very uncommon/rare. |

Hi Jim---would you call the one on the right an All-Red on a transparent base? _________________ Lizzy

My bag of Vitro "Blackies" are all on a transparent base. These are the Blackies that are "inverted", meaning the equatorial ribbon is color instead of black. Just got them today and when I held them up to the light, I got a pleasant surprise.

Thanks for posting those pics. I could tell from various pictures of Blackie bags that there were obviously two types of Blackies, but I could never get any info on this second type or see them good enough to tell what they are. Although I have seen pics of several bags like these, oddly this type does not seem to pop up very often in the general loose marble population. |

Not a problem Jim. If you need better pictures, I can take better with my other camera....still playing with the new one. Although the backlit pic doesn't show it, they are ALL on transparent bases. This bag came off the bay this last week from Craig S. |
