I was going through some of my saved files today and ran across this. It was a Block auction from 2004. As we really don't see much original paperwork on Akro, I thought that I'd share it here. Smile

Old paperwork is very cool Lizzy. I find it not only interesting, but down right fascinating. Thanks for sharing.

Cool, can't quite read sideways unless it's facing the other way, but does that say 10 pounds = $50 of marbles in 1939?

I think that says insured value. That is just a shipping reciept. Peace,Galen

After blowing it up a bit, it looks like it says either Insured or Declared Value of $50 and the weight as 39#. Like Galen says, this is just the shipping receipt so that wouldn't help determine the price that was paid in 1939.

However, in the original invoice, it shows 1200 as the quantity (which would be the 12 cases of 100 marbles) and the price is shown as 135. I wonder if that is $1.35?

Mike, I had saved the pictures from an old (2004) Bob Block auction.

HAHA, figures I missed the caption at the top of the picture indicating that it was from one of his auctions!
