could use some help with id's

These are a few marbles that I'm really not certain of the makers.
The first one looks sort of like a vacor, and I have other ones that resemble it, but for some reason this one is different...??

#1

this one is a pelt, I think, a bloody mess? lol
#2

and this one , I would have guessed a cork, but Mike Close , who first explained marbles to me, told me , in order for it to be a cork, there had to be some semblance of order, there had to be a starting point and an ending point for it to go around the marble....and this one does not have that.

#3

a messed up catseye, I think

#4

and the rest, I have no clue

#5

#6

#7

#1. It is a Vacor, but one of the older styles. They are very pretty and many people think that they are vintage when they run across them.

#2. Looks like it could be a Peltier Clown. The base can run the gamut from almost opaque to transparent green.

#3. You're correct......not a cork (unless it was polished so much that it interrupted the pattern?).........but can't tell from here what it is. What size is it?

#4. I believe that it might even be a Vitro hybrid cat. Nice one.

#5. WV transparent swirl (not sure of maker). Jackson made a number of dark purple/white ones.........but don't think this is one of them.

#6. Vitro

#7. WV swirl........not sure of maker. Nice colors!

P.S. Marlene, I numbered your pictures.........to make it easier for me to answer. Smile

thanks Lizzy for the answers.....number 3 is under 5/8.

on the number 5, you cannot see the white on the marble itself, it just looks like a purple marble, it is only in the photo you see the white??

and thank you for numbering them also.

i think #3 and possibly #5 are vacors. if #5 is not vacor, it looks like a slag.

#4 - agree, possibly vitro cat, but also possible vacor (hard to tell from pics)

#2 - i don't see anything special about that rainbo - looks like a 'regular' transparent based rainbo from here...blended sunset colors, but with a tint to the base, i wouldn't call it a sunset.

i also wouldn't call it a clown because imo the ribbons would need to be more crisp with a clear separation of bold yellow & red with no white.

Now that I look at #2 again.............I can see what Chris is seeing too. I didn't look at it carefully enough at first. Smile

Here is a photo that was posted by Marblemiser that shows some Clowns in the outer circle, so that you can see what Chris is talking about.
