Green glass, faceted, 12 yellow bands, white inner bands. I'm guessing that this isn't as rare as the yellow lat but is this just a divided ribbon? Sounds so blah. lol
Thanks

Call it a green caged ribbon. That sounds more exotic. Art |

I think it defies any of the usual categories. I suppose one could view the inner bands as being the core ribbons of a divided core (caged colored glass divided ribbon core), but they are a bit far to surface for that IMHO. I think it best to think of it as a colored glass coreless swirl, with two levels of outer banding. Still, I think a desireable marble. Please let me know if you are listing it. ...Roger |

Sometimes the standard names for handmades belies their exquisiteness.
In the final analysis it is what it is!
Those twelve outer strands they're just subsurface, aren't they? You'd almost think Gooseberry if it wasn't for the divided action within. Somehow the word 'hybrid' needs to be worked into the naming on this marble.
Size would help a little. I envy the 'green.' ...David Chamberlain |
