1 - looks older, like an Elite/tri-lite
2 - phantom conqueror
3 - all red
4 - can't tell - another phantom conqueror type?
pics are great, but sometimes it's harder to tell what a marble is if the pic is gigantic. at least it is for me... _________________ Chris

Agree with what Chris just said..........especially the part about larger pics making it harder to ID. The easier way for me to ID a marble with 2 seams/cutlines is with the 4 "traditional views". The 2 seams viewed straight on (either vertically or horizontally) and the opposing "poles". Of course, more than these views can help too.
Here's an example of what I mean.
The only other thing that I can add is that the first could be either an Akro or a Vitro. I have a number from the digs with those colors and a "V" pattern. _________________ Lizzy

I agree the pictures are way to big. I'm trying to get the hang of photobucket. I will be listing these and other marble later tonight and you will have better pictures to go by. Thanks again for your time. |

Yeah, it just doesn't do a decent 5/8" marble justice to blow it up to 2"+. All perspective is actually lost. Of course this is said by one whose prejudices lie favorably when it comes to 5/8" marbles. They are the standard to go by in machine-made marbles regardless of all these beautiful 3/4" marbles at Jabo in the past year and a half. 5/8" marbles are where it's at! David |
