As some of you know, my brother is selling off some of his extensive Akro collection to help pay for his other addiction----vintage VW Bugs (pre-1957). So, as I'm sitting here taking pictures of many unusual 'dug' Akros to list on ebay..... I thought that it would be a good idea to post them here in an "ongoing" gallery of sorts. Sort of like I had started at Lou's Marble Connection, but haven't been updating. If you have any that you want to post here that you know are 'dug' Akros, feel free to do so. If you have a question about whether yours is a 'dug' Akro...........it's probably best to start a new thread. Also feel free to use save these pics or post them elsewhere for informational purposes. I just don't want them posted in "Study Hall". :) Here's the first few: I imagine that this one below was "dumped" because the thin strands of Oxblood weren't applied evenly. Notice how it didn't 'stick' to one side of the marble...........almost like it's rubbed off. I've never seen this pastel color combo in an Akro Oxblood patch, has anyone else?............I wonder if it was an "experimental" type?
