It's in great company, that's for sure, Wow! The egg yolk and "old style" -type oxblood (ie: handmade) + pops are what I've heard German, not that small tho. |

Yeah, it's kinda like the old adage, Give them books and all they do is chew the covers. I throw out directions. Bad habit of mine.
BTW Bob, install ispell on your tool bar and you won't have any probs. Now if I can just remember to use the darn thing |

Thanks:-)
Lots of practice and then
a lot more practice ....lol
here's a sweet little slag in the same image above...
There have been many threads on the boards about shooting marbles, if you do a search on each of the boards I am sure you can find them:-)
If you can't find them feel free to email me:-) Although, there are many collectors taking awesome images with different set ups and cameras.
Just goes to show us... there's more than one way to skin a cat:-) So it's not so much a matter of techniques as it is "knowing" one's tools for capturing images...

You are right on two counts Roger... From the pics it's not easy to tell how small it actually is ...... and they were very skilled indeed!!! I have a hard time making marbles smaller than about 3/4"....
Here it is again in a group to give it perspective...
Thanks for pointing this out...

Yeeeeeeoow! Just from looking at the pics, I would never suspect it was so small. Proof of how skillful those early glassmakers were. ... Roger |
