I've been dealing mail order since the 1970s, well before eBay and the problems that manifest themselves there. I have had few problems over the years but that has been when the buyer has been less anonymous. When I have been put out to dry by a seller or buyer my last resort has been to let them know that I fully intend to send a form letter to their neighbors up and down the street letting everyone know what kind of a creep they are. Amazing how quickly that brings them around and the excuses that they concoct out of air to justify their 'oversight.' Of course apt. buildings are problematic for doing this but normal residential areas where you can go to the USPS and get address up and down the street are perfect. Just address ea. form letter to Resident and let 'em fly! David Chamberlain
P.S. I did this to a guy that sold me knowingly high end, fruit crate labels that he had stolen. I got them back to the original owner! Unfortunately the street mailing ploy wasn't successful in this case but I did eventually get my money back by putting a lien on his home and when he went to sell I was first in line. I had a blow-up of the check made and sent it to him! I'm bad! DC

I thought that this was interesting. Don't know if it's the same "PaVCraZ" but this was posted on an old Fortune City website. Wonder if it's the same person............and they have a guilty conscience?
If not, maybe I should forward this "poem" to them? hehe
Quote:
~~~~~~~~~~A wish for innocents~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
late at night,
alone with myself,
when my thoughts turn in apon them selves,
remembering how i used to be,
and the wrongs done in the name of greed
.
shaking my head a single
tear shed,
gently rolls down my cheek;
with a silant cry...heart felt inside
i wish for away,
to ammend the day;
when my innocents was taken from me.
Ditto what Al said.
Anyone that's been scammed by them needs to report it to the authorities.
Here's another avenue.
If everyone directly affected by this person would just write a letter with some specific details to the police in his hometown, they'll eventually get the point and investigate it. Looks like you have pictures, facts, etc. to prove the fraud so hopefully it'll have some bearing.
BJ
I just had a bad experience a few weeks ago. A customer sent me some marbles to recondition which I was happy to do. I sent the package back to the address that he gave me. All this was fine and dandy except he never received the package. I had mailed him a couple of packages before that mailing with no trouble. I am absolutely sure that he didn't get it, but it was delivered to his apartment. He lives on the 5th floor of an apartment house an now some other tenant has his marbles to sell. This wasn't a big lost to either him nor me, but the idea that we were both ripped off sure smarted. I have sent him several packages since and he has received every one. Now when I send him something I also attach a "Customer signature delivery confirmation" form. Each package has to be signed for and this cost an extra $2.30, but is well worth it. For $2.30 we lost over $200.00 worth of marbles. ----Leroy----P.S. This was my fault as I should have at least attached a Delivery Confirmation Form.
wow....the ebay replies at least sound like a human being read your letters and like maybe they're taking things a little more seriously. true, they can't moderate every single dispute, so they're probably right to at least give you resources.
i wonder if others have filed complaints against this guy. you never know - yours might be the one that really gets them moving.
