Ah ha! That's what I've been missing. Oxygen.........that's why I've been feeling so fuzzy-headed lately (as I'm sucking in a much-needed gulp of air.) hehe

Yup, what are "Circus" marbles anyway? Very Happy Those are cool, like Sandy sez. Are they some that you've applied your 'magic' to?

I took these pics at the Texas show a couple a three years ago.

as for their history, they could have been pre-Exotic. If I recall correctly there was a mini-controversy on the boards about em.
I think it was Bob Block who was selling them and there were many opinions about their orgin, some suggested Gremany.

Many years ago, I sold some for Hansel, I assumed they were C.A. at the time and called them circus because I had not seen such bright colors before on a C.A. I even sold them as rare C.A.'s
The several that I had were yellow, red, and blue
After they were already in Block's book a few of us discussed them at a show and came to the conclusion that they were probably vintage foreign.
I found out later that Hansel had picked them up while in Europe.
The construction of them is exactly like the German slags that many people confuse with C.A.
So, IMHO they are early German machine made, striped opaques, every bit as rare as if they were C.A. Probably more rare, as I have seen very few offered for sale, and nobody that I sold them to ever complained. I only have one, it is white base with red and lime green striping.
If you ever come across one for sale, snatch it up!! Smitty
