Hiya! I've not had the best of luck lately with single marbles, so I've been buying them in groups. Hit and miss. Today I got a package in the mail that had mistlydamaged junk in it (only 26$), but this marble was in it, and this is why I went after it in the first place. It looked like a Guinea in the photo, then in hand it does . . . kind of . . . but it seems to have no transparency whatsoever. It's nice looking . . . sky blue, brown, red, yellow, a little purple.
Any idea as to who made it? I want to say CAC, but I'm a little obsessed with them. Thanks for the input
I think I messed up on the upload . . . oopsy! |

Hmm . . . I came back to check without logging in and couldn't see the photos. I log in, I can see them. I wonder should I go back and repost (this time using direct link)? Well . . . we'll see |

Polished IMHO. Notice sharp edges on pops. Peace,Galen _________________ Peace,Galen |

I'd thought remelt once or twice as well. I'd also noticed the air/pops or sand pits, which led me to think machine made, but it still rings somewhat, I think, of a contemporary. It just has me befuddled. I'm hoping it's CAC, but . . .
A polished what, Galen, do you think?
I'd feel VERY dumb, though, were it a Vacor/Mega. Ha! |

i get a re-melt/contemp feel also. it's possible the person was playing with old marbles, melting them and then polished them to get rid of surface scum or a punty mark.
same could've happened with new glass.
with all those colors, and such a busy and random pattern, i'd have to go that route. _________________ Chris

Interesting, I'm logged in and can't see any pics - just the links. When I copy and paste the links I have to log in to the picture site, which I am not a member of. |

Remelt . . . contemporary . . . I keep thinking the same.
The colors do resemble CAC to me.
Let me repost, Al, properly . . . sounds like I mucked up somewhere.
That should do it, I think . . . hope. Sorry for the double post. |
