Here are two vaseline slags, both of them uv sensitive. They light up a brilliant yellow. One is 11/16" and the other is 3/4". The smaller one is made in the "9 and cut tail" hand gather method like the M.F.Christensen, (I am guessing) so it could be much older than the larger one, which has no seams or other signs of a hand gather, so is probably a lot later.
Akro seems to be the only marble company that made vaseline slags, and some of the earlier slags were hand gathered. I think that this color is not too common.
Let me know if you have another opinion on these.

It is believed handgathered and gob fed slags were probably made at the same time for a while. It was a progression(new equipment ect) of sorts. The same rounding rollers were possibly used for both types at Akro Peltier and CAC. MFC never used gob feeders. Akro would be a good guess.

For the marble on the left, are you showing 2 pics of the same end, or 2 different ends? If they are the same, it could help to ID if you posted a pic of the other end (opposite). ... Roger |

Here are two reverse side shots. This is the smaller of the slags.
