This marble, 19/32", looks like a hand-gathered slag to me. But it doesn't look like any slag I've seen yet. The white stream seems to be pulled through the center and surfaces on the other side, where it then wraps around and drizzles out. Does anyone know what this marble is? I really like it alot, as I have nothing that looks remotely like this slag.

Mum found this one last week in France. As pink as pink can be.

I have a couple that are lilac that verges on being pink, but not quite pink (pic below), and I have one with a mixed base of amber and true pink, so I was wondering if there were real pink ones. ... Roger

I sent Alan a grouping a few years ago to sell. This was the only one he offered seperate and called pink. The light Lavender/pinkisk ones were offered in small groups of mixed coloured others. This one was true pink, but is hard to see and capture in the pics. The abundent white blocks out the light so much. Too bad it was nibbled and ugly. I think it went for $39.00 or so.
Here is the group from France. My eyes went right to the pink.

I've got the exact same looking marble and just tonight picked it up and said to myself, "That's not a normal looking slag." Same rough single pontil, same crease line, colors, everything.
What era are these from? |

Nah, amber is just too common for me unless it's in a CAC slag or a larger handgathered. It's the pink one that calls out to me. What's the condition? You really can keep it; just pulling your leg here. David |

Nope, just a japanese slag in mint condition, but it has a nice bubble in it! The nine and tail are pretty cool, wraps entirely around this one, as it did on the blue slag. These are great marbles. I'll have to keep my eyes open for a pinkie.
