Hi all well I bought a brick just because it was cheep , the seller said
"THIS MARBLE HAS 2 EXPOSED AIR BUBBLES. ONE IS PRETTY BIG (SEE PICS). THERE ARE A COUPLE HIT MARKS. SO I WOULD SAY THIS MARBLE IS IN MINT CONDITION, EXCEPT FOR THE MANUFACTURING FLAWS. APROX. 11/16""
still I thought for $13.00 not bad . but when I received it it was a polished marble with damage left . still no big deal . but then I started thinking what if some one paid more . she had other high end marbles listed , so I thought I would ask about it being polished just to see what would happen . the answer was I should have asked first but if I do not want it just send it back and I can get a refund minus the shipping of course . So what does every one think about this even though the marbles was ok for the price ,should I leave what kind of feed back , some thing like this .
"seller is knowingly selling polished marbles with damage remaining ,want's to return at my cost of shipping both ways this is a big NEGATIVE "

Looks like you know exactly what to do. Just do it! Or it goes on and on. How many polished mibs have they sold that the buyer didn't know what a olished marble looks like. They took a chance and lost. There should be a big penalty involved IMO. _________________ Peace,Galen |

I would remove the 'knowingly' part, as it's not something you can objectively observe. And perhaps restrict the comment to your own transaction. - "vendor did not disclose the fact that the marble was polished - beware" ... Roger |

I would probably email the seller and ask them why they did not disclose that the marble was polished and will they disclose that on their future listings? Maybe they 'saw the light' and will do it right. You can always post the negative feedback comment if they say they are not going to do that or they become indignant, etc. As far as the "you could have asked' comment, my response to that would have been "I didn't ask if you took a hammer to it or rolled it in H1N1 germs or colored it with a sharpie, etc." You should be disclosing anything that affects the value or dessription of the condition of the marble. |
