Any opinions on what these marbles are? I don't know new marbles at all really, so they could be new. They look like Akro from the pics, but what would a whole board of Akro be doing in the UK? In all the group find pics my Mum has ever sent I have only seen a single black and white Cork. So Akro seem like a longshot to me. Some weird varient of a Transitional is also a guess, they are the only other type that came in this colour and this size I can think of? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks all.

WOW Orb! Will your mum send me some marbles? Super awesome shooter Akro Agates! I've seen a lot of corks come out of England over the years. My friend Ernie got a bunch of 5 color corks about a year ago from England. Nice score orb!

Thanks Scott. They sure struck me as Akro as well. I requested more pics of any with a nice Cork pattern.
Funny that my Mum has found no Akros at all up until now. I'll get her sniffer into overdrive. Good to know that they are over there to sniff out.

Sure look like Akro to me. So I guess that's one Solitaire set that won't be finding its way to eBay. Smile ... Roger

Wow! I agree with the Akro call. I would pay quite a few squid for that set up.

Sure it will Roger. One day hehe. No way I would break it up. These new pics pretty much sum up what they are. They were also in an old American liquor (she thinks) bag in the drawer.

Mmmmmmmmmm Squid! Dammit! Now I have to go get some. Seafood Sunday it is.

I would also vote Akro. They definitely resemble Akro more than any other maker. That is a very nice set, and once again Mum has come through for you with some very nice mibs!
