Hi Catherine----
I haven't noticed any more Pelts than usual..........but that doesn't mean anything. It does seem to be cyclical when it comes to different makers.
Now............as for the first auction that you linked to where "Tower Doll" is the seller.......................that is a new Jabo that she's got listed there. She's well-known in the marble community for selling Jabos as vintage marbles and has been busted out numerous times. She now just lists them as vintage "swirls". There was a lengthy thread about it on Lou's board a few years ago, but when they cleared up some server space, it was purged.
However, there's a brief mention of her in this thread. Look at my post #31 for a little more detail.

P.S. I'm going to move this over to the "Pros & Cons" section because with my response, that's where it should be to help warn others.
Just so you don't wonder...........you had posted this in the correct section to start with...........my reply was what caused the move. ;0
Also you might want to delete the reference to the James' (crappieman's) boxes and start a new thread in the main section, with the link to his gorgeous boxes! (Just a suggestion. It's up to you.) _________________ Lizzy

Thank you so much Lizzie.
I went to the link you provided and read through those threads, most informative. It's always amazing what people will do, isn't it.
But I will admit that the marble in the thread I posted, has a certain wild beauty. I also noticed that she has others listed, or had, this week, listed as popeyes.
I will do as suggested with jame's boxes.
Have a wonderful weekend, and thank you.

Hello again Lizzie. I do not know how to "delete" from a thread, is that's what you meant, and as you suggested with my reference to these boxes. Is there a info page I can go to here that will tell me how to do that?
thanks again

Catherine, in order to delete something from a thread................just look to the top corner of your post on the right hand side. You'll see an icon for "edit". If you click that, it will open up your post and you can then fix anything that you want in your post., i.e. typos, cusswords ( ), etc. After you've made the necessary changes, then just click "Submit" and your edited post will display.
You don't have to delete the portion about James' box.............and can still make another post about them, if you'd like.
As for the pictures that you mention having a "wild beauty"..........they were a particular run of transparent Jabos that were really pretty. Also she back-lights the marble or something, then shows one or a couple of views. It makes it harder to identify it this way and then she fakes not knowing what it is. (other than the fact that it belonged to either her grandmother or grandfather! ). Many of them had red, green & a gold-ish color in them and some unscrupulous sellers were offering them as Peltier transparent Xmas Trees. Here are some of the pics of Jabos from the old post that was purged from Lou's board. These are some that she's offered on ebay, in the past as various other vintage makers. Some Jabos will start off in a 'corkscrew' pattern and she'd show just one side and list it as an Akro corkscrew (a friend of mine bought one of these and caught hell trying to get a refund.) See the similarity of these to the one that's in the current auction? If I have any of this type left, I'll send you a few.
When they "exposed" her on the boards, she started selling as "neecystoys". But when a few marble collectors exposed her there (like Scott-"I LOVE MARBLES" here and "auntbeas4zjg" on ebay), she abandoned that ID and went back to using her "Towerdoll" acct. Check out the feedback on "neecystoys". In the beginning, we thought that maybe she was just misinformed about these being her grandmother/father's marbles..................so several people emailed her offering to help her with IDs and suggested joining the boards. She basically told us that we were crazy and to mind our own business. hehe

Thanks again Lizzie, for all the great info and help. It is good to stay aware of who the unscrupulous sellers are. I often buy marbles on the bay that I know are just Vacors or Jabos, but that is because my dad sees them listed and ants them. He's all about the look I guess, while I am serious about the maker and quality.
I think the marble posted, and the ones in your post here do have a certain something that attracts me, but surely I would never pay 10.00 for one. And I make it a policy not to do business with sellers i have been warned about in the forum. But, if you have one that looks like the first one in your post, or the one I sent a link to,(the second link posted) I would love to purchase it from you.
It is so nice to see you back at the board, and I hope life is being blessed in your orld.
Many many thanks and a great weekend to all!

I totally agree that there are many Jabos and Vacors that are very pretty and I own some of them. But I hate it when sellers know that's what they are but try to list them as vintage makers! That is just plain wrong. I recommend that every collector should have some examples in their possession. It's the only way to truly learn the ID process.
As soon as I get a chance to look through mine to see if I have any like the ones that you like here...........I'll let you know. If I don't have one..........I'm sure that someone here does and will be glad to send it to you. (You won't have to pay me if I've got them.) There are many generous people on the boards that have shared with me and helped me learn........I just "pay it forward."
Oh yeah, you probably didn't get to see this post with pictures of some really gorgeous Jabos!
