I'm not sure either, but I friend of mine is the manager.
2 yrs. ago @ the Sistersville Show, he was telling me of the new marbles that they were making but they weren't 4 sale that yr.
The next time I see him I will ask if this is the style he was referring to.

@duffy -
@ steve - that's interesting...i got this bag from dr. aggie at a decatur show, and i haven't seen him for years. he had a bunch of the opal bees, so i got some of those and this bag. if you could find out when these were made, that'd be great - thanks, steve! |

Chris, were these the ones that you were thinking of when you mentioned Jeff Hale in Charles' post?
I posted these a couple of years ago on Lou's either in the same post or about the same time.......and someone (I believe that it was Jeff) said that they thought that they were newer MKs.
Now here's an opalescent based marble that I've been sure is a Pelt...........but now I'm starting to wonder.

yes, those are them! i *think* jeff posted an orange-ribboned one, and you could see how the two little blips that make up the patches sometimes get spaced apart and look like peltier ribbons.
lizzy, i don't think your last one is MK. you can see the movement of the glass inside. these newer MKs have a stepford-like homogeny to the baseglass.
(okay, now i KNOW i need to go to bed! ) |
