It's really weird-looking and all I can think of that would give it that type of "look" is that it's polished.

Defineatly polished on both accounts. I bought from that seller once a fe years ago and received a polished akro tightline superman cork. There has been a lot of those go through that sellers hands. (like galen's second link). So obviously polished as well. Whats even more surprising is that the current economy is supporting sales like this. Guess fools with money...... _________________ Post up some of your killer mibs! |

The seller had at least 15 marbles up that appeared polished, He did claim a few may be buffed but that was it. I don't get it. Do some sellers have some kind of immunity pass. Alan must of lost his(LOL) No one says a thing about these and it was very obvious. And the seller has been dealing in dug marbles long enough to know polished stuff IMHO. A hope just because a lot of folks don't have marble money that it isn't becoming OK to screw nembies with money. And please, no one post about how they have a good return policy because most newbies don't know a polished marble. They usually don't find out until someone points them out at a show and that is just a sad sight to witness or be a part of. Its actually fairly easy to tell these polished mibs because they just don't have that glossy shine that marbles in that condition should have. And the reflection of the light is almost always blurry. Galen _________________ Peace,Galen |

Now that you mention it, I think it very well could be from cullet. _________________ Post up some of your killer mibs! |
