I noticed that Auctiva now has a protection on its images so one can't easily stash them away for reference (as I know many of us like to do). Just display the page with the image you want to save, right click (off the image) to get a pull down menu, select "view source". click "edit" in the toolbar, select "find", ask it to find "jpg", and keep going until you find an image in the auctiva imagedata forlder, copy out to clipboard the entire image url, paste it into a new instance of your web browser, and you have the image in a form that you can save. Sounds complicated, but it is really just a few clicks once you are used to it. .. Roger |

interesting you brought this up, as it just happened to me!
but the weird thing was, after i right clicked i got a message saying the image was protected, and then the regular right-click menu showed up and allowed me to select "save image as". so i named the image and voila! it saved.
weird.
thanks for the alt method though, roger! _________________ Chris

I wonder if it has something to do with the browser that you use. I use Firefox and never have problems with any "protected images". As soon as I get the message, I click "OK" and then the drop down menu appears.......as shown below.
