This 11/16th marble is really beautiful. when looking into the window of the clear glass base, it reminds me of looking into some wild eye. All the colors run pole to pole, like a star or sun burst marble. The inside opaque color is a delicate almost coral pinkish yellow. I have not seen one of these in any photos anywhere. Is it uncommon, or do neet to get out more?

I think that this is a Master Sunburst. I was able to look at a lot of similar marbles that are on Joe's Marbles site. _________________ Don't Tread On Me |

I believe that would be a good guess. Peace,Galen _________________ Peace,Galen |

What about the possibility of this being a Tiger Eye? The filiments that are on the inside of the marble are very wide and lay against the side, not any towards the central core. If I were to discribe this, I would favor calling it a Tiger Eye rather than a sunbrust. Any thoughts? _________________ Don't Tread On Me |

Wrong colors. Here is a tigereye and a sunburst of similar coloring. Ebay sellers will often call the type on the left Tigereyes. They are not IMO.

Strictly a sunburst. It is a common desire to make something more out of marbles we consider beautiful early on in our collecting experience. That's good in the sense that it shows we truly love our marbles. David |
