3/4" shooter of what type? I had typed this a few years ago by looking at pixs on the internet as a possible Christianson.

You were probably looking at pics of a CA "Bloodie" or what someone mistakenly identified as such. Smile

However I would say that yours is probably a W.V. swirl, i.e. possibly Alley, Champion, etc.

Hopefully Galen will stop in and explain it a little better.

Tough call. Although the color swirl is nice and clear it is a bit light in color and the white is not pure enough for me to make a CAC ID on that marble. I am also finding that on the mibs I am close to being 100% sure are bloody types the white is fluorescent. The swirling of the marble is also not what I think of as typical CAC swirling. That color combo was also used by several of the manufacturers.

those were my thoughts also---the bloodie didn't fly because this marble is orange, not brown. As a green newbie, I was taking a lot of id's off of ebay and some of the other better sites, but I have learned quickly that you have to either hold one, have one, or have enough training to make these distinctions.

I like the WV swirl id--covers all the bases, and it is probably a marble that would be impossible to pin down. Correct?

I like the marble, by the way, so I am keeping it! I have a lot of un-valuable marbles, but that is not why I collect. I likes what I likes.

"I likes what I like" - Doogle. Yes indeed much as Popeye says, "I yam what I yam. I yam a marble shooter, ARF!" David
