I know the boxes you are talking about. I bought one back when and later bought one from Ron Shepherd at an Amana show because it was largely constituted with Tye Dye 5/8" examples. A killer marble! Forget the dat on those boxes but I have it somewhere around here.
You should be receiving those two books shortly. Be on the look out. David |

You know what? You really are a nice chap! I don't believe any of those things that I have heard about you!
Just pulling your leg also. Man, I have been doing a terrible job of acting my age of 53--fighting it all the way. You seem to just be cruising along on autopilot. I am impressed. _________________ Don't Tread On Me |

When Vitros hit the larger sizes it's known that their patterns can
get pretty wacked out. I'm not seeing Jabo colors here at all on
Doodle's marble. The glass look old and I'm seeing Vitro's classic Lime
Green. The last 3 pics also show an "as made trait" in the darker
shade of green. I use to call it a "dull cutter pull"....which was incorrect.
Galen....you know which pattern I'm talking about. It's the double "V".
I haven't seen this show up on Jabos. This trait can be found on Pelts,
Vitros and Akros. The clear horsehair filament in the white/tan glass
caught my attention as well.
So yes........Vitro.....a Vienna Vitro. Akro would still be my second choice. _________________ RAR.....Never eat anything bigger then your HEAD ! |
