A pair of Peltier Bloodies with different body types--just like us humans.
I like the football and am amazed that it made it into circulation. Lucky for me. I have a feeling I won't find another one unless I specifically go looking for it. The normal Pelt is less bloodier and it took me awhile as a beginner to figure this one out. I was looking for a really BLOODIE looking marble, when in fact the round one is pretty subdued but seems to represent the discription well enough. The color is only a small factor in the overall IDing process. I am starting to see patterns and common traits, which is making it easier to sort out my pile of marbles.

bloodies are on a translucent to almost transparent base.

the description/definition i've heard/read was that bloodies had to have an opalescent base with red ribbons. (opalescent, meaning: a translucence that shows a fiery-orangish glow when lit from behind)
right? or wrong?
and is there provinance for this?

Thanks for the info....on my post with the Pelt Sunsets, a few of those look like they are bloodies as described with this definition. That football marble is kind of opalescent, but I haven't dialed in the light transparancey formula yet. ie: some opals look opaque and some opaque look opal to me still. Need to look at more marbles!
