I found a cheap Avon bottle and broke it up and made this marble from the cullet - like it?
The dark portion came from a dark spot in the interior of the glass and I pumped-up the propane so a bit of carbon enhanced the spot.

that is sweet, i always wanted to melt this bottle into a big ole mib because of all the aventurine in it, how cool would that be,,,,bj

I think I have only a 3" diameter graphite mold and the bottle looks as if it would be too much glass! Also, it probably would use up a whole tank of oxygen to make the marble!!! |

Wow! How cool is that? ................and very unique. An Avon marble............that's a first for me!
BJ, don't ever melt that bottle down!!! hehe I LOVE it with all that chunky looking aventurine. Ever since you first posted it, I've been paying particularly close attention to old green glass bottles. Haven't gotten lucky yet..................... _________________ Lizzy
