I do like both of them............but especially like the style of the stand on the 2nd one.
Ok, now time to show my ignorance...........but what is "soft glass"? _________________ Lizzy

There are several types of glass that are classified by their COE (Coefficient Of Expansion - the vibrating in place molecules).
Loosely speaking (not to get too scientific here) they range is from COE 33 which is hard glass, Borosicilate Pyrex kind of glass all the way up to sift glass Moretti from Italy which is COE 104.
The softer the glass, the faster it becomes a liquid under heat.
If ever you get to Southern California, come and we'll torch together and make marbles. |

Ok, now I remember having heard a little about the COE and how that relates to the "hardness" of glass (however you say that. hehe). Thanks for the additional info....................and for the invite!
You never know, I might be out that way one day. My dream is to get a Winnebago (or even something on a smaller scale) and travel all over the U.S. I've pretty much been through every state in the U.S., except for Alaska, Maine & New Hampshire (can't believe that, since I lived in Boston for a year!). But would love to take my time and go "antiquing/picking" all over. Fingers crossed that it will happen some day soon. _________________ Lizzy
