Did Master make Brushed patches ONLY with white brushed on a black(purple) transparent base? Or, like Akro, did they make lotsa different colors.
Thanks.

They made lots of different base colors & patch colors. I'm sitting at a Starbucks right now and don't have access to my computer with pics, so I can't post any examples. I know Galen has some..............plus I might be able to find a few in some old posts. Let me look. _________________ Lizzy

That's what I always assumed, Lizzy, but I never had confirmation.
Don't go nuts looking for pics.
I've always called the Masters based on the ends of the patches folding in on itself and/or minute cut-off lines at the ends of the patches. Anything else I call an Akro.
Is this reasonable? |

It's been my experience that more of the brushed patches that I've run across have been Master than Akro. The main ones that I can think of that Akro made were the ones found in the Hy-Grade mesh bags. Even with those I have heard that they might have been made by Master and packaged using bags that were bought after Akro went out of business. I don't know how accurate this information is though.
The was found at the Akro digs and is one that comes to mind as looking very Master-ish. The patch is a lot thicker than most Masters that I am familiar with. As for the cut-lines/seams, the only thing that I have noticed are that many of the Masters have longer, messier/stragglier (is this a word? hehe) seams..........but then again, so does this Akro below.
