Tank~~ for a non-pelt collector, can you explain what you mean by "the colors would be flipped"? |

here's a nice example showing what i've learned to call "reversed side colors":
the idea is, while looking at the seam, if you go in a circle and name the colors, it goes like this:
white white red white white red
but the result on the marble is that each "half" ends up reversed from the other so that it looks like this:
red - white
white - white
white - red
on kris's marble, you can see that (aside from the patch) the colors on each "side" match up. i think this is how gino biffany was able to dispel the belief that these 'mystery patches' were peltiers (back in the day when we were first learning to ID machine made marbles.)
btw, this mostly applies to 6 ribboned peltiers; baseballs generally match up |

So they're just offset with four stripes, but reversed with six. You can't reverse four stripes because you only get the same order, whereas you can reverse three (in a one, one, two configuration) of the six to get a reverse order.
Thanks Chris,

it's kind of hard to explain when you can't point
baseballs could technically be reversed...the circle would be red white red white, but usually baseballs had all one color on a different colored base.
occasionally you'll find more than one color of ribbons on a baseball, but those are the oddballs!
glad it helped |

I believe most ribbon colors are reversed(filp flopped) on the 4 ribbon 2 color ribbon transparent base peltier rainbos. (including sunsets, 7-ups ect. Peace,Galen
