WOO HOO! The first group has got enough eye-candy to maybe bring Randy G. back around again. Laughing

That red-based Rainbo is the first that I've seen. It's really neat looking. Remnds me of a tomato. Congrats on finding that one too!

I'm going to show my "Newbie-ness" here. The last one on the right in the 3rd row (blue w/ black stripe) reminds me of marbles I had when I was a kid, but I haven't seen them since starting to collect (3 years now). I'm pretty sure I had a bunch of them all different colors but all had a black line. Are they hard to find now? Who made them? Do they have a name (Galen? Smile )

This hobby continually brings me back to my childhood - when I was happy. (Don't pay attention to me - I just like to bitch.)

Thanks for posting them, bigjohn.

Dan,

It is a Vitro Blackie. It comes in white, yellow, red, green, light blue, and deep blue. All of them have the black line. Many of them have a fusion of another color. It is very common, so don't be tempted to pay higher prices for them as "Hybrids". One fourth of them are like that.

PS. West Virginian swirls remind me of my childhood. I had tons of them
I like the third mib bottom row, just cuz it's unusual. Nice haul BJ.

Thanks everybody,,,, Vitro blackies i think have evolve over the years, what ive noticed , and i may be wrong, but the older they are the more tight lined black on the center you get,, you can tell the difference between old ones and new ones in that over the years the center band got wider and the color bleeds started happening,, the older ones seam to me like they are more defined,,, yes no?,,,,bj

Thanks Randy,, That mib was exactly the one ide hope someone would notice,, would you believe it looks like a cross between a helmet and an all red,, as a matter a fact thats just a patch on an all red,, good eye on that one,, i kind snuck that in there to see if anyone would ask about it..
