I noticed one of Alan B's listing for a popeye. It is one of those that actually has bands of green on both sides of the yellow/brown, though it is not mentioned in the listing. ... Roger

I've got a couple Popeyes like that. In-hand (on mine) you can see that the yellow extends UNDER the second color to appear on both sides.

Yes, you're right, I went back and checked mine, and I could find an angle where I could see that the yellow and brown are on top of the green. ... Roger

Can't believe the marble got away for what it did! That's got to be cheap. Maybe a little muddy though. Those sizes, what was it 42/64". I can't even picture that. Why not just say 5/8"+ and forget it. 42/64ths - that just torques my mind! David

Very nice popeye. And Alan is always very specific in his listings. This is just another example of that. That is why he is as respected as he is. Although, I understand where you are coming from David.

You're right, Alan has exacting standards. Still I think mainly in standard sizes and then secondarily in fractional departures from those standard sizes up or down, + or -. Makes life easier. When it comes to mm's I am totally lost; like forget it! David
