I noticed one of Alan B's listing for a popeye. It is one of those that actually has bands of green on both sides of the yellow/brown, though it is not mentioned in the listing. ... Roger

I've got a couple Popeyes like that. In-hand (on mine) you can see that the yellow extends UNDER the second color to appear on both sides.

Yes, you're right, I went back and checked mine, and I could find an angle where I could see that the yellow and brown are on top of the green. ... Roger |

Can't believe the marble got away for what it did! That's got to be cheap. Maybe a little muddy though. Those sizes, what was it 42/64". I can't even picture that. Why not just say 5/8"+ and forget it. 42/64ths - that just torques my mind! David |

Very nice popeye. And Alan is always very specific in his listings. This is just another example of that. That is why he is as respected as he is. Although, I understand where you are coming from David. _________________ Mike

You're right, Alan has exacting standards. Still I think mainly in standard sizes and then secondarily in fractional departures from those standard sizes up or down, + or -. Makes life easier. When it comes to mm's I am totally lost; like forget it! David |
