Thanks Alan and Galen!
Alan, that looks like a required book for all marble collectors, especially those who like Akro. Thank you for the info.
Galen, thanks for simplifying everything--again. I am tending towards trying to keep it simple as I am learning all this stuff. I will call that marble an Akro Corkscrew Prize Name. _________________ Don't Tread On Me |

Oh man, it seems like ages since I posted this. Galen is right, that marble is an Ace. The translucent and opaque and clear glass gives me problems at times. _________________ Don't Tread On Me |

I was collecting Imperials for a while and I'd go Imperial with this one even though the orange seems a bit too orangey. Usually these marbles have two shades of orange corkscrewing around the marble.
Visited Roger & Claudia last time in Clarksburg when I visited the last 'official' Akro Dig. Great couple and as Alan says Mr. & Mrs. Akro Agate. They are sorely missed at the marble shows although they did make it to New Philadelphia a cpl. years ago after a significant purchase/find.
