I pulled out of shoe box of marbles that I had completely forgotten about, mostly cats and Jabos and a few other odds and ends and just happen to notice this....

I was finally ably to backlight this one in a dark room with a strong light and it is NOT opaque black, but has a very DARK clear red glass. |

I think it was Randy G. who told me a while back that there is actually no such thing as opaque black glass (I think he heard that from someone who works with glass). Glass that appears black is actually deep, deep, deep red or purple. There is however, obsidian (volcanic glass) that can be black. |

LOL Rodger.. that explains it,.. I never watched Star Wars either. Txmarble..That makes sense, is this still considered a *black* helmet?
Steve.. it does have a boo,boo but I don't think it needs to be destroyed ..yet.. LOL
