Could someone explain to me how that happens!...Is it left over glass from the run before. Or run out of glass and add more?

I see your point Chris on the one with a blue pop,..if were a TRUE bifuricated...that pop wouldn't be there.. cause the (2nd) base glass would go to the core at least a sizable section of the marble.
Galen's looks like two halves stuck together.

If you folks can make up names for Pelts I can use big words to describe a CAC that looks like two different halves(LOL)
Quote:
Adj. 1. bifurcated - divided into or made up of two parts; "socially bifurcated populations"
divided - separated into parts or pieces; "opinions are divided"

I did look the word up! And understood the meaning. I just was interested in how that would happen with a marble. I did not know if it was done on purpose or buy accident. I would think by accident. And I could see how this would happen!

that was fun...lol
Galens' right enough though....lol it's really is just another variation of the name game:-) It just shows how we as a group use language to share common experiences. Although...wink, wink... here's another definition below......

Language is awesome:-)....no wonder people can ask ten collectors the same question and get 11 anwsers.....lol

Life is good!!!

bi·fur·cate (bfr-kt, b-fûr-)
v. bi·fur·cat·ed, bi·fur·cat·ing, bi·fur·cates
v.tr.
To divide into two parts or branches.
v.intr.
To separate into two parts or branches; fork.
adj. (-kt, -kt)
Forked or divided into two parts or branches, as the Y-shaped styles of certain flowers.

are there any other ten dollar words like bifurcated we use in marble collecting?????

How they are used is not as important as do we use other words that can be problematic???? Anyone got some good stuff........lol

ps like I said I use the old bifucated word.
